What we do

GFSL employs around 1,250 prison-based staff, and 150 in corporate offices in London and Sheffield or working remotely from their homes. Delivering our services in prisons is challenging, but rewarding – our people enable a key part of the Justice system to work: allowing offenders to be housed securely and safely, with dignity, and helping the Prison Service reduce reoffending by providing opportunities for offenders to have purposeful activity, develop new skills and gain experience of work.

Where we are

We work closely with the HMPPS estates directorate and individual prison governors to provide Facilities Management (FM) services to prisons across four regions in the South of England :

  • South West
  • Kent & Sussex
  • Greater London
  • East of England

We also have 2 corporate offices, located in London and Sheffield.
